According to Eqtesad Kara, Aria Hamidian, director of the event, referring to the breaking of the record of participants in this specialized event compared to the previous years, announced the registration and participation of 300 companies and enterprises in this influential national event and added: Currently, the capacity of 20,000 square meters of the exhibition has been completed and we are looking to set up a temporary hall.

Referring to the 30% increase in the number of participants in the third exhibition compared to the last year, he said: In addition to Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries, Petrofarhang Holding and Shastan Commercial Investment Company, more than 70 petrochemicals, refining and petro-refinery companies are present in this specialized event which is unprecedented.

He added: Due to holding the event in the last month of the Solar Hijri year, large companies will use this opportunity to explain their successful plans about supporting production and disrupt the barriers of the process, as well as plans being prepared for the coming years. This is a great advantage for preparing the plans for the future of the currency and employment-generating petrochemical and petro-refinery industries.

The CEO of Baharan Tadbir Kish Company, emphasizing that the third exhibition will be held in the form of three groups of companies: “Petro-refining, Petrochemical and Refining”, “Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Equipment Manufacturers” and “Knowledge-Based Companies and Startups”, added: By 100% increases in banks, insurance, financial and credit institutions participation in the third exhibition, we are witnessing a valuable event in completing the ecosystem and value chain for the further growth of this strategic area and we hope to see maximum participation of related sectors by the event.

Aria Hamidian added: “By the planning done during the first event in November (IFEEX2021), the macro and development plans in the field of energy was discussed and the fundamental issues and priorities were identified and categorized. Then, in the second event of the year (KishINVEX®2021), the significant development of cooperation among financial and monetary institutions in financing projects and presenting new and creative methods was examined, and finally in the latest event of the year, The 3rd Specialized Event on Supporting Domestic Manufacturing in The Petrochemical Industry with a Special Focus on the Refining Industry and Petroleum Refining (IPS2021), Utilizing the capacity, has been attempted to provide important and measurable outputs to public opinion. It is necessary to mention that all planning and goal settings were formed in cooperation with Vice‑Presidency for Science and Technology, Ministry of Petroleum, National Petrochemical Company, Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Free and Special Zones, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries, Iranian Petroleum Industries Equipment Manufacturers Association, banking and Insurance system and other related agencies and all these groups had a sincere cooperation, understanding the need for the promotion and authority of the Iranian economy.

He also said: In addition to the exhibition, more than 20 workshops, panels and specialized meetings including fundamental and important topics aimed at identifying needs, strengthening domestic production and growth of localization in the petrochemical and petro-refining industry, meeting technological needs and financing projects in progress will be held with presence of managers and experts from different departments of the Ministry of Petroleum and Petrochemicals, the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology Iranian Petroleum Industries Equipment Manufacturers Association and all experts of financial and monetary institutions, so that in addition to creating convergence and strengthening trade and industrial negotiations and cooperation, the event can be effective in presenting a discourse and planning of industry managers.

According to the latest reports, there are currently 67 active petrochemical complexes and 70 development projects in progress in Iran. Total petrochemical production is expected to reach 65 million tons in 2021, which will bring a lot of currency to Iran. Also, with the implementation of new projects in the coming years, 50 million tons will be added to the current figure. Another important point is that 38 projects are planned to be implemented during the Eighth Development Plan.

Moreover, considering the formation of a national consensus on strengthening the petroleum refinery sector in Iran, in order to create and strengthen the integrated approach of petroleum refineries, issues such as the integration of policy-making and regulation of the two refining and petrochemical industries, restructuring of the shareholding system of existing refineries and petrochemical complexes, shifting the approach to feed allocation and delivery of a combination of liquid and gaseous feedstocks has been proposed to the petrochemical industry by the Ministry of Petroleum. Completing the value chain of the oil and gas industry with the aim of increasing the efficiency of the economy, increasing added value and preventing crude sales is one of the principles that is emphasized in directing oil revenues to domestic production in the general policies of the Sixth Development Plan. Steady and sustainable development of the oil and gas value chain requires the integration of development policies of the refining and petrochemical industry.
